• - pH of 4.2. The WHO recommends a pH around 4.5 to avoid disrupting the vaginal flora.
• - Osmolarity of 160 mOsm/kg. The WHO recommends not exceeding 380 mOsm/kg to prevent damage to epithelial cells.
